Homework Policy
Homework is primarily assigned to reinforce skills learned at school. Homework also serves as an important way for you to remain aware of what your child is learning on a daily basis. Checking over your child’s work would be very helpful.
We encourage you to offer any necessary assistance within reason. Homework is typically assigned Monday through Thursday. At the end of each day, teachers spend a few minutes reviewing the homework assignments with the class.
Each student is responsible for correctly writing down the assignment in his/her planner. If a student comes to class without the assignment(s) completed, a notification will be sent home to be signed. Your child will be expected to complete the missed assignment by the next school day, in addition to any other assigned work.
How You Can Help
1. Provide a quiet place where your child can complete school assignments.
2. Schedule a consistent time frame to do homework.
3. Check the assignments to ensure your child has completed the assignment satisfactorily. 4. Please help your child if she/he experiences difficulty or is struggling.
5. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the teacher via voicemail or by writing a quick note. Informing the teacher of any problems that may have an impact on your child’s education is very important.
